Places & Spaces

Landscape and cityscape photography is where I first started my journey. Over time I have honed in on telling my story of nostalgia, liminality, and déjà vu. My work is created to spark memories, and leave the viewer with a sense of, “I feel I’ve been here before.”

Kodak Film

My fine photography is produced exclusively on film using a Hasselblad 503cx or Canon AE1 with Kodak Professional film stock. I believe the beauty of film is how it captures and renders light; forever encapsulating a moment onto a tangible medium.

Inspiration

Growing up in rural south western Ontario, one of the most influential 20th century artists I’ve found inspiration in is Edward Hopper. His subject mater, use of light, and the sense of desolation in his paintings remind me of home. For these reasons, I’m consistently drawn back to his work for reference and inspiration.
